Interestingly, administration of similar concentration of a monoclonal antibody against a tau protein having a phosphorylated amino acid residue at the position corresponding to Ser396 of the amino acid sequence defined in SEQ-ID-NO:1, which has a stronger affinity to an equivalent antigen than the above antibody, did not result in sufficient improvement in cognitive functions.
